Pen Review: Venvstas Carbon T Fountain Pen

Venvstas Carbon T fountain pen

I’ve really been enjoying the Venvstas Carbon T, a carbon fiber fountain pen with a minimalist-inspired modern design.

Venvstas is pronounced “Venustas.” That’s because in the classical Latin alphabet, “v” served as not only a consonant, but also as a vowel pronounced “u.”

Venvstas pens are designed and made in Paris, and I bought mine from the  Venvstas website. Because Venvstas new on the scene, I’m going to write a little about the company and its origins before talking about the Carbon T itself.

Pen Review: Karas Kustoms Fountain K

DSC_4021

My friend Dan loaned me this pen to try out his Architect’s nib grind. I love the nib modification, and I was taken with the Karas Kustoms pen as well.

This particular Fountain K pen is a prototype. The final version should be ready for sale in December. Paul Bennett of Karas Kustoms said that based on user feedback the section will end up being longer and wider, but that the pen will otherwise have the same look and feel. I’d like to do a quick review of the prototype.

Pen Review: Aurora Optima

The Aurora Optima is one of my very favorite pens, which probably is obvious from the photo above.  I don’t really consider my Optimas a collection, because for me it’s really a workhorse pen, so it made sense to get a few of them.  Of course I exceeded “a few” some time ago.  But since I probably use at least one Optima daily, I’d like to review the pen and consider what makes it stand out for me.
