This is only my second day with J. Herbin 1670 Caroube de Chypre, but so far I really like it. It’s a nice soft brown, with a color that reminds me of cocoa powder. The golden particles are there, but they are subtle. Caroube de Chypre may suggest an older penny, but not a shiny new one.

I’ve had a bottle for two weeks, and still haven’t taken the wrapper off the box. I’m waiting for the right mood, I guess.

That wrapper is scary, though, with that “do not use this in pens” warning. π

I only use these inks in Kaweco Sports, as they’re easy to get apart to clean. I’m terrified of a feed clogging with those lovely shiny bits.
I understand what you mean about these inks not being suitable for everyday writing. A letter written in Chivor would be distracting.

I’ll be giving this bottle away. Just keep watching for it. π

I’m waiting for my German seller to get them in stock. Could take a while. In the meantime there are bazillion other inks out there! Woohoo. π
