Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-syogun. A gray ink with a pronounced blue tint, Fuyu-syogun bears the English name of Old Man Winter, which is entirely appropriate. A beautiful ink with great shading. Cool and evocative rather than insistent.
An everyday ink? Like winter, probably most enjoyable for a season, not an entire year.
Pilot Iroshizuku Ina-ho. An unusual color, Ina-ho is a gold that leans green and brown instead of the usual yellow. Pilot describes the color as inspired by “a vast field brimming with waves of golden rice ears.” I think of a wheat field. And I think it’s beautiful. It’s well-behaved, too.
An everyday ink? No. But lovely.
Montblanc LeGrand Platinum with fine nib. Sometimes when you’re using a lot of colorful, new or exciting inks, you just need to decompress and pick up an old reliable. I went for my LeGrand with platinum trim and fine nib, and Rohrer & Klingner Blau Permanent ink.

There are those who want their fountain pen inks to be permanent. Then there are those who don’t. I am the latter, since I never write anything important, but I do spill a lot.
Someone mentioned washable black ink to me, and I thought that Seitz-Kreuznach Panthers Black, Stipula Ebony Black and Montblanc Mystery Black would be washable. So let’s see.

Pelikan M600 Pink with fine nib. Okay, I’ve talked about this pen before, and again, and again, but it hasn’t actually been pen of the day. So, good excuse!
Also, Fountain Pen Follies is neither so foolish, nor so loaded, as to be able to buy two new pens a week.
Am I the only one who not only doesn’t mind seeing a little ink on the nib, but likes it? Because I do. Ink drips, no, but a hint of ink, yes.
I’m using Pelikan Edelstein Ruby this time, which is a softer red that I adore and that I think really works with the raspberry color of the Pink Pelikan.
Seitz-Kreuznach Flamingo Pink is a delicate and pretty pink ink at a good price.
