Graf von Faber-Castell Cobalt Blue. The bottle captivated me, but it’s the ink inside that has me hooked. Cobalt Blue is an excellent standard blue ink, darker than average, with nice lubrication, good behavior and even some water resistance.

Laura, I am a fan of Faber-Castell ink. I wondered how this ink performs. Thanks for letting me know I need to get a sample of this. You have a great blog here. I just subscribed to it recently.

That’s a really nice blue, a touch off the beaten path. And that bottle, the Cabinet of Curiosities demands one.

Good enough to be an everyday blue ink?

Totally. That’s how I’m using it. My only reservation would be how it would work in a very dry pen; however, I have none of those. 🙂

That’s good to hear. You’d think “blue” ink was pretty standard stuff, but there are some fantastic subtleties of shading out there. I’ve never really considered the Graf von Faber-Castell inks, but your last few reviews have left me thinking I should investigate them further. Thanks!
