Pen of the Day: Aurora Optima 365

I bought this from the lovely people at Pen Boutique. I’d actually never seen one in person until it arrived on my doorstep and I opened the box. So I really wasn’t sure. Part of me was thinking: really, a brown pen? But, oh my goodness, does this pen look incredible in person. It’s gorgeous.

The richness and luster of the acrylic is hard to show in photos. I hope this gives some idea of its warmth and depth.

The ink is Waterman Blue Black.

I always fill a new pen with Waterman Serenity Blue or Waterman Blue Black. My restored Parker 51 has Serenity Blue, so this one got Blue Black. It looks like it holds a bit of the night sky. Appropriate for a magical pen.
