I am so lucky. I feel that people would be justified in hating me after this, but just remember, it’s Christmas 2016 we’re celebrating! Right?
And, before judging me, do know this: I had been having a really difficult December up to this point. If anyone needed a Festivus Miracle, it was me. Not that I deserve it. But I’ll take it gratefully.
So, what of the Pelikan Berlin? I don’t hear a lot about this one. Is it nice or just okay? I was unsure even as I opened the box. Then: Oh. My. Goodness.
I don’t even really like green. But this pen is so beautiful, I do now. This pen is so beautiful, I can’t do it justice. Greens, silvers, black. Pearlescence and translucence. It glows, it shines. I love this pen.
I don’t deserve it. But I am really, really, overwhelmingly happy to have it. And I am glad I can share the photos.
I have a Grand Place and always wanted a Stockholm.

It’s absolutely gorgeous, but out of the two I prefer the Stockholm.

Go easy on yourself, you deserve it if you believe you do. Very nice pen and I know how nice the Pels write. Enjoy it.

Years ago I had a Shanghai, but it was a little too pinkish for my taste, so I sold it. You, being a fan of pink pens, would probably love one.

Oooh! I’ve never been in love with the Shanghai from photos. But now I’m intrigued.
Though honestly, I’d be just happy to see one in person. Maybe this will be the year someone brings one to the Chicago Pen Show.

I’m a sucker for Pelikans, too, and I have one of these. It’s gorgeous! So which do you prefer, this or the Stockholm?

Great question. The Stockholm is the pen I’ve wanted for years, so that’s closest to my heart. But I honestly think the Berlin is the most beautiful of any of them — with the possible exception of the Shanghai, which is the only one I’ve never seen in person. 🙂
