Comparing Caran d’Ache Infra Red and Diamine Poppy Red

When I reviewed Caran d’Ache Infra Red, and looked for a comparable ink, the closest that I could find was Diamine Poppy Red. Both are bright reds, and they look similar enough that I wanted to compare them more thoroughly.

    1. Caran d’Ache Infra Red looks more red than either Montblanc Corn Poppy Red or Pelikan Edelstein Garnet. Corn Poppy Red and Garnet are closer to orange-brown in comparison. They are darker and heavier while Infra Red is more cheery and bright.

      I thought they’d be close, but neither is.
