Two Special Papier Plume Inks: Bringing New Orleans to the Chicago Pen Show with Ivy 108 and Lake Michigan Summer

The cities of Chicago and New Orleans have always had a close connection, especially musically. This song was written by a Chicagoan, Steve Goodman, about a train that still runs between Chicago and New Orleans.

So it’s especially fitting that Papier Plume, the New Orleans fountain pen and ink store, is bringing two special edition inks for the 2017 Chicago Pen Show. These handmade inks are very limited — only 60 bottles each — and will be available from Papier Plume at the show, starting Friday, May 5.

Photos of the Chicago inks are on the next page, and I’ll put up reviews and more photos in the coming days.

    1. Awesome! Cubs fan + ink fan here, too. Be sure to come over and introduce yourself.

Also we’re doing a meetup before and during the show, for anyone local. Contact me if you want to be on our list, but I’ll put it on FPN and FPG Forum as well.

    1. Easy! Come to the Chicago Pen Show. In fact, buy a weekend pass or a Friday-Sunday pass. (Public hours are not till noon Friday.)

Okay, we realize not everyone can come. Even though you really should. 🙂 So … there’s going to be another way. Papier Plume has graciously agreed to donate one bottle of each ink, which I will give away here. Watch for the next few day’s of Fountain Pen Follies posts and enter then.

There’s also a great KWZ Rotten Green giveaway going on right now, too. 🙂
