It’s paper that’s off-white, very thin and lightweight, and that has a wavy, almost crinkled texture. It’s almost as thin as tissue paper, but because it’s typing paper, it takes ink very well.
Inks don’t feather or spread, don’t take forever to dry and don’t change color on this paper. But the ink color presents beautifully.

It lets sheen-prone inks sheen.

It’s as easy to write on as regular flat paper, and it’s as lightweight as Tomoe River while feeling sturdier.
It’s inexpensive stuff — it was originally and still is today. I bet a lot of people’s parents have this in their attics. But I like this onion skin paper. It’s also nice to use something up we already owned, rather than buy something new.
Onion skin paper is nice but not easy to get these days.
