Pen of the Day: Pelikan M620 Piazza Navona

Pelikan M620 Piazza Navona fountain pen

That’s a closeup of the Piazza Navona resin, a swirly and stripey material with browns and creams and blue-gray, and even a little gold. It does look stony and architectural. Though perhaps it’s more “Bath, England” than “Rome” to me.  More neo-classical than classical.

But then Bath was founded by the Romans, if I’m not mistaken. And if I am mistaken, shhhh.  It’s the internet.  Who cares? The key is to say something very forcefully. As in: “Bath was founded by the Romans.” And then to figure out a way to make money off it.

The Piazza Navona is inked with KWZ Brown-Pink ink. I like the match.

Alright, I am not sufficiently internet: I checked. And Bath was indeed founded by the Romans.  Therefore I see my way clear to expanding the mission of this blog starting next week, with the online promotion and sale of genuine imitation Roman trinkets. I’m rebranding and monetizing.  Because what have the Romans ever done for us anyway?

And I did warn you not to click Page 2.

    1. “All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?”
