Platinum Classic Citrus Black. This is an iron gall fountain pen ink with gorgeous shading and dramatic color change from light yellow to dark khaki. Even though it’s iron gall, Citrus Black behaved beautifully in my vintage Pelikan and cleaned out very easily.

Iron gall inks are a sort of objects of desire: you want them, as they make gorgeous writing, but you need to be careful with them, due to the damage they can cause to one’s beloved tools (and paper). Anyway, I have some of them, and I do really enjoy writing with them on good quality papers
